Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern all on-demand additive manufacturing, rapid prototyping, CAD slicing, Design for Manufacturability (DFAM) audits, and commercial deliverables executed by Layerium Labs. By submitting CAD geometry, approving a commercial quote, or placing an order, you agree to these terms in full.
Automated Estimates & DFM Engineering Verification
Commercial quotations, cycle times, and manufacturability indicators generated through the Layerium Labs engineering portal or RFQ submission tool are preliminary assessments derived from uploaded geometry, selected polymer or resin systems, infill density, and automated slicing heuristics.
Automated estimates do not constitute an unconditional manufacturing guarantee. Every production build is subject to a manual Design for Additive Manufacturing (DFAM) audit by Layerium Labs application engineers prior to machine assignment.
In accordance with our customer assurance framework, new clients receive a complimentary engineering DFM review on their initial RFQ to verify wall thicknesses, unsupported overhangs, and critical dimensional clearances. If submitted geometry exhibits non-manifold geometry, severe aspect ratios, wall thicknesses below process capability, or safety hazards, Layerium Labs reserves the right to hold production and request revised CAD geometry.
Customer CAD Geometry & Intellectual Property Warranty
The customer represents and warrants that they hold all necessary proprietary rights, licenses, patents, and statutory authorizations to upload, slice, and manufacture the supplied 3D CAD models (STL, STEP, IGES, OBJ).
Layerium Labs strictly prohibits the submission of geometry intended for lethal weapon components, firearm receivers, regulated restricted defense hardware, IT Act prohibited materials, or designs that infringe upon third-party intellectual property or copyright.
Layerium Labs claims zero intellectual property ownership over customer-submitted CAD files. Uploaded geometry is processed solely to calculate manufacturing feasibility, execute production, perform quality audits, and resolve technical disputes.
Customer geometries are stored in cryptographically access-controlled buckets and are never commercialized, sub-licensed, open-sourced, or used to train third-party artificial intelligence models.
Commercial Quotations & Pricing Validity
Formal commercial quotations issued by Layerium Labs remain firm and valid for 30 calendar days from the date of issuance, unless explicitly superseded in writing by an authorized technical representative.
Custom quotations are calculated based on raw material mass, machine build chamber time, support structure requirements, post-processing tier, and batch quantity.
Layerium Labs supports small trial-batch pricing for initial prototype evaluation and functional testing prior to volume manufacturing runs. Any subsequent design revisions, dimensional modifications, or material substitutions submitted after quote approval will trigger an updated quotation.
Order Confirmation & Payment Coordination
Commercial orders are confirmed and scheduled for machine chamber allocation only upon verified receipt of payment. Accepted settlement mechanisms include direct NEFT/RTGS bank transfer, UPI, and verified digital payment gateways (Razorpay).
For high-volume commercial production or authorized corporate accounts, structured advance-plus-balance milestones may be approved at management discretion.
Failed transactions, chargeback disputes, or unverified remittance slips do not constitute an active order, and no machine time, material drying, or build preparation will be initiated until funds clear in Layerium Labs accounts.
Additive Process Realities & Manufacturing Tolerances
Additive manufacturing inherently involves layer-by-layer material deposition (Fused Deposition Modeling / FDM) or localized photopolymerization (Stereolithography / SLA). Parts will exhibit process-characteristic layer striations, orientation grain, minor micro-stepping on curved domes, and support interface contact points.
Unless a high-precision post-machining or hand-finishing specification is contracted under an engineering quote, standard dimensional tolerances adhere to baseline additive standards (typically ±0.2mm or ±0.5% of nominal dimension, whichever is greater, varying by material thermal shrinkage).
Layerium Labs application engineers reserve technical discretion to select build chamber orientation and support lattice architecture to optimize structural integrity, print success, and surface finish, unless a rigid customer build orientation drawing is submitted with the RFQ.
Shipping & Manufacturing-First Delivery Model
Layerium Labs operates on a manufacturing-first fulfillment workflow. Published delivery timeframes commence only after additive manufacturing, support removal, post-curing/cooling, quality inspection, and protective packing are fully concluded.
Standard courier transit is coordinated via reputable carrier networks following dispatch. Priority courier options accelerate transit and queue priority, but do not compress the physical thermal build hours required for additive machines.
Full shipping and packaging terms, including transit damage reporting protocols and return-to-origin handling, are set forth in our dedicated Shipping Policy.
Cancellation & Refund Limitations for Bespoke Parts
Because additive parts are manufactured to bespoke customer specifications, orders cannot be cancelled or refunded once production preparation, slicing, and machine chamber runtime have commenced.
Cancellation requests received prior to machine setup will be evaluated against committed raw material allocations and preparation hours.
In-House QA Guarantee: If a part fails Layerium Labs internal dimensional inspection or aborts in-chamber prior to dispatch, Layerium Labs reprints the component at zero customer charge as part of standard operating procedure.
Comprehensive terms governing return criteria for store catalog products and transit damage claims are detailed in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
GST Invoicing & Commercial Tax Compliance
Layerium Labs complies strictly with the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (CGST Act). Tax invoices with complete Harmonized System of Nomenclature (HSN) classification (HSN 8477 / 3926) will be generated for every commercial order.
Business entities seeking Input Tax Credit (ITC) must provide a valid GSTIN, registered corporate legal name, and state code during order checkout or quote acceptance. Layerium Labs cannot re-issue tax invoices under a different GSTIN once tax returns for the respective billing period have been filed.
Limitation of Liability & Deployment Disclaimers
Layerium Labs manufactures components strictly to customer-provided CAD geometry and specified process parameters. Layerium Labs disclaims all liability for part failure, structural collapse, mechanical fatigue, thermal degradation, or electrical breakdown resulting from customer design defects, uncompensated stress concentrations, or improper material selection.
To the maximum extent permissible under applicable Indian law, Layerium Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages, loss of business revenue, or third-party liabilities arising from the use or integration of printed parts in downstream mechanical assemblies.
Customers bear sole responsibility for conducting requisite mechanical, thermal, pressure, and regulatory compliance testing prior to deploying printed components in flight, automotive, critical industrial, or life-safety applications.
Governing Law, Jurisdiction & Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Service, along with all commercial purchase orders and quote agreements, shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the substantive laws of India.
In the event of any operational disagreement, dimensional contest, or commercial claim, the parties agree to first engage in a good-faith informal dispute escalation process by submitting a formal technical notice to sales@layeriumlabs.com. Layerium Labs commits to reviewing and responding within 30 calendar days.
If unresolved through informal negotiation, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration conducted under the provisions of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, or referred to competent courts in India having territorial jurisdiction.
